Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply if I am a government employee?

No. Government servants and their family members are explicitly not eligible for PM Vishwakarma. The scheme is designed for artisans in the unorganized sector only.

Can two family members both register?

No. Only one member per family can register. 'Family' is defined as husband, wife, and unmarried children. If one member has already registered, no other member of the same family can register.

I took a Mudra loan 6 years ago. Am I eligible?

Yes. The restriction is for loans availed in the past 5 years. If your Mudra loan was more than 5 years ago, you are eligible (assuming you meet all other criteria).

What if my trade is not in the list of 18?

Unfortunately, only the 18 listed trades are covered under Phase 1. If your trade is not listed, you are not eligible at this time. However, the government may expand the list in future phases.
