Typing Race — Race a 40 WPM Ghost While You Type

A typing race turns the standard typing test into a sprint: a ghost racer types at a steady 40 WPM while you race the same sentence. Beat the ghost to win — your WPM and accuracy are shown at the finish. It is the fastest way to make practice feel like a game instead of a drill.

Good typing speed comes from rhythm not from rushing the keys.

Formula

You win if you finish before ghost time = sentence length / (40 WPM × 5 chars) minutes
Your WPM = (characters / 5) / your minutes

Example

300-char sentence — ghost finishes in 90s. Type it in 75s → you win at 80 WPM.
