Number Memory Test — How Many Digits Can You Hold?

Number memory measures digit span — the oldest working-memory test in psychology (used since the 1880s). A number appears briefly, then you type it back. Each round adds a digit. The famous average is 7 digits; phone-number-style chunking (3-4-3) pushes people past 10.
