Double Click Test — Check Mouse Double-Click Speed & Faults

A double click test does two jobs. First, it measures your double-click speed — the millisecond gap between the two clicks (150-250ms is typical; gamers can go under 100ms). Second, it detects a common hardware fault: worn-out mouse switches that register two clicks when you pressed once. If the pad reports a sub-80ms "double-fire" you did not intend, your mouse switch is likely failing.

Double-click inside the pad — we measure the gap
Also detects mice that accidentally double-fire

Formula

double-click gap = time between click 1 and click 2 (ms)
Typical: 150-250 ms · Fast: <120 ms · Faulty double-fire: <80 ms

Example

Click, then click again 187ms later → double-click speed = 187 ms

How to Use

  1. 1. Double-click inside the pad.
  2. 2. The gap between your two clicks appears in milliseconds.
  3. 3. Repeat — your fastest gap is saved as the best score.
  4. 4. If single clicks report a double-fire under 80ms, your mouse may be faulty.
